There are 3.3 million owned cats in this country.
If this... "11 million from two"... mathematical theory was even close to accurate, we'd not be able to walk on the streets for the sheer volumes of cats. You couldn't open your front door - let alone drive the car (most of the day without seeing a single one).
As well as being inaccurate, we'd do well to remember the damage the 'overrun with cats' rhetoric does when we have a national government keen to carpet bomb the country with cat poison. They want to kill millions of cats. Let's stop giving them ammunition to do so.
